This collection includes the papers of Whitworth College's 17th President, William P. (Bill) Robinson. This collection consists of miscellaneous office and budget materials. Also included are miscellaneous materials from the following committees and organizations: Joint Committee for Higher Education, SIRTI, Washington Friends for Higher Education, Higher Education Coordinating Board, Independent Colleges of Washington, Council of Independent Colleges, Spokane Symphony, Academic Affairs. This collection also contains Robinson's publication entitled "Of Mind and Heart."

Whitworth College was founded officially on February 19, 1890. During the years 1987 and 1988 plans were made to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Of course, this celebration, all during the 1989 year, was an opportune time for a fund drive. (Timothy R.
